bryson's first act of remorse

well that I have seen anyway.
I had to get this moment down before I forgot it.

Last night after the kids baths, Bryson was in his room with just his towel on and I went back to the bathroom to get the lotion when I got back he was laying on the floor like a ball with his towel over him.
I said "oh are you cold?"
he looks at me with his hand out and says "shh I am saying my forgiveness because I accidentally said a bad word"
So he goes back to his curled up position and says,
"Heavenly Father I am so sorry I accidentally said a bad word. Amen"
My heat just melted and I thought a few things...
wow here is the kid of mine that is just a terror most of the time beats up on his older brother and makes him cry daily, is obsessed with some video game he loving calls "Nazi zombies"  and tells me about daily (he playes it at his friend Cooper's house so I have yet to see it, and to be honest there is a part of me that thinks its for my own good I'm a little ignorant on this one", and is mostly destructive of most anything within his reach.
For just a moment the heavens parted and I could actually feel like I haven't ruined him yet.  I still have a chance to help him find peace and harmony LOL.  I L-O-V-E love Bryson he is a total handful, but I just melted last night watching him be so conscious of his behavior.

the diet to end all diets.....hopefully

Well here I am again.  The start of a new plan, a new idea (which is really and old idea)  ready to change my life.  THE DIET.  This will be the one,  I am going to stick to it, I have set my goals, made my mental commitments, and now I am following one of Steve golden goal setting rules.  I am writing in down for all who want to can see. ( As Steve says a goal not written down is just a wish)   So here it is.

Since I own a plethora of different weight loss books, videos, DVD's, plans and booklets, from previous diets of course. As well as a membership to the local Anytime Fitness, I narrowed it down to P90X and A higher protein low carb food plan.  No bread, No rice, No pasta, that's the hard part.

I told Steve my plan this morning he says " I totally believe you that you will work out today...but what about tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day?"  Isn't that the truth?  I am so good for the first day I would even say the first week.  But the weekend comes and I just want to eat, and eat, and eat.
But not this time....this is going to be it.

After having Lena in May my goal was going to be back in pre-pre pregnancy weight and condition in one year.  Well that day is coming sooner than I thought. So here we go

For the next 90 days I will follow P90X to the letter.
On cardio days I can do P90X or go the gym and run
Diet Plan will be High protein and lower carbs, no bread, rice or past for 90 days.
I will only weigh myself on Sundays and record my progress here on the blog.
I will try to put an update each day on how the progress it going.

Today was the First day I did Chest/Back and abs. and went to the gym to walk on the tread mill.  Food was OK that is something I can work on.

Wish me luck.
PS pictures will be posted once I have a drastic change otherwise its just embarassing
And from here on out I will do updates on the side bar

funny things kids say...

Bryson walks upstairs one night walking kinda' funny

"Do you want to see whats in my butt?" he says

"No I don't want to see whats in your butt?" we say.

"Do you want to see whats in my secret piggy bank?" he begs, he then proceeds to pull and quarter out of his butt crack. Then he says," oh my gosh it smells like a hot dog."

One day when Jaden and Bryson were playing Jaden says "Bryson, your breath smells like the zoo."

When picking up Suka's dog duke's in the back yard,  Jaden was totally grossed out and would not stop talking about how gross this experience was for him.  Steve said "Jaden, this is part of dog ownership", Jaden responded with "no Dad, this is dog owner S-H-I-T"   have to admit that one was so on the money, we laughed laugh for about a week about it.

words with "ee"

I have been wondering why all the teenagers that email me or text me or whatnot have double "ee's" in them such as  "text mee back"  or" heey"  or "u r the beest."
Seriously wondering if I am missing some teenage crazee.

cheer compitition season has arrived

Regan is starting her 4th year of cheer with Utah Peak Academy Cheer.  She loves it so much every year her love for it grows.  She hopes to be a cheer coach one day...after she has been a cheer leader in high school, college and a Dallas Cowgirl.  She has found her thing.

Shelby wanted to come and see what its all about.  Maybe she will join regan in this crazy girl world.

bryson's b-day

Bryson got his dream come true moment for his birthday.  DRUMS.  He has asked for these for a long time and we finally did it.  We found an amazing deal on KSL and he was just ecstatic  (They are in the far corner of the basement and surprisingly not that loud).

Bryson chose Incredible Pizza for his activity.  We all had a great time and Bryson loved it

ending a year...and starting a new one

I can say that I am happy we made it through 2010 with a few things. Like...
Our house
Two Cars in our garage thanks to wonderful friends and great parents
Our Marriage is better than ever
Of Course the most darling baby girl Lena
The other three amazing kids living in this house
Great friendships
Steve's job (that comes with bi-weekly paychecks)
Can't forget great families
I could go on for awhile...

Even with all those great wonderful things I am glad it is over and we made it
There is such a great feeling that comes with a new year.  New beginnings and hopes for dreams and hard work to pay off, a chance to do it better than the last year, learn from the things that worked and work on the things that got forgotten.  And always...start the new year diet.

First we will stick in a Halloween shot of the kids (sorry I don't know why its sideways)

We had a great Christmas and holidays.  I was so excited that my Christmas wrapping was done prior to Christmas eve so that I could have a good nights rest.  Well Regan stayed up until 1am then as she was going to sleep Lena woke up for the next 2 hours.  Then the boys woke up at 5am  we put a movie on in their rooms but we could hear them laughing and talking and they kept coming in and checking if it was time yet.  We finally got up at 7am.
my parents came over for present openings, and then breakfast with Ian and Kellies family.  After a short short nap we went to my parents for dinner.  I was beyond tired at that point.  We ate and left, came home and everyone crashed.
I realized after it was over I was so tired I didn't even spend time pondering the true meaning of Christmas, I was just in survival mode.

For New Years we went and saw  a movie with the kids, then Regan had Maren and Shelby over for a sleepover,  We set our clocks ahead 2 hrs celebrated New Years with the boys at what they thought was midnight but was really 10o'clock.  We thought we had the girls fooled but they figured it out that we changed the clocks.  So we celebrated with them at the true Midnight hour.  Steve and I were in bed by 12:05 and out.  Regan and her friends went to Maren's in the morning for breakfast, then had a day of playing and fun.  They boys hung out with their friends and we just enjoyed the time with the family
